Job Management MCP Server

Informatica's MCP server exposing IDMC Cloud Data Integration runtime controls, enabling AI agents to orchestrate, monitor, and manage the lifecycle of data integration tasks in real-time

Why use Job Management MCP?

  • Automated Orchestration: Let AI agents trigger complex mapping tasks and ETL/ELT workflows dynamically, turning the agent into an automated data operator
  • Operational Visibility: Retrieve live execution status and performance metrics (rows processed, success/failure, error logs) for any active job without opening the IDMC console
  • Active Job Control: Immediately halt or clean-stop running tasks for rapid response to data issues or resource constraints
  • Informatica Authentication: Access IDMC runtime APIs directly using your existing Informatica credentials for a secure, seamless connection

What can you do with Job Management MCP?

  • Run Tasks: Start mapping tasks and linear taskflows by ID, name, or federated ID, with full task-type support (MTT, PCS, WORKFLOW, and more)
  • Monitor Execution: Fetch real-time run status and detailed activity logs — source/target row counts, throughput, transformation stats, and failure reasons
  • Stop Active Jobs: Terminate long-running or stalled jobs on demand to optimize Secure Agent resource usage
  • Build Self-Healing Pipelines: Combine status checks and restarts so agents can detect a failed job and automatically retry or notify
  • Enable Event-Driven Integration: Trigger specific data loads automatically when a business event (e.g., new file arrival) is detected
