athenahealth Integration Client

This MuleSoft application is a middleware API that makes it easy to connect to athenahealth's appointment scheduling APIs. This app is tailored for use with athenaOne or athenaPractice (formerly athenaNet) environments. It simplifies athenahealth's platform by exposing streamlined RESTful endpoints. These endpoints let downstream systems like web portals, mobile apps, and call center tools interact with the platform.
Key Features:

• Authentication Handling: Uses secure token-based authentication with athenahealth’s API key and secret. Automatic token refresh logic helps maintain session continuity.

The MuleSoft Direct integration supports core appointment workflows, and helps users:

• Search for open appointment slots.
• Book appointments.
• Cancel appointments.
• Modify appointments.

To use this MuleSoft application, you need to: (i) sign an agreement with, and utilize services from, athenahealth; and (ii) submit the Authorization & Consent Form. Once the Form has been received and accepted, you can use the athenahealth Integration Client app.
