HL7 v2 to FHIR System API - Implementation Template

Overview

This asset is a component of MuleSoft Accelerator for Healthcare.

This asset is a reference implementation template that can be used to convert HL7 v2 messages to FHIR. It supports the most commonly used message formats:

• ADT_A01
• OML_O21
• ORU_R01
• SIU_S12

Support for additional message formats will be added in subsequent releases. This implementation can also be extended or modified to meet your specific conversion requirements.

Tested and verified

This solution was developed and tested on Anypoint Studio 7.13 and Mule Runtime 4.4. The HL7 connector (v 4.2.9) was used for message parsing.

This asset provides an implementation template for HL7 v2 to FHIR conversion based on the mapping created by the HL7 v2 to FHIR project. See the RAML asset for the API specification.
