Available Operations with the Thru Connector:
The Thru connector offers the following operations to facilitate seamless integration between MuleSoft and Thru:
- File Pickup – Enables a MuleSoft flow to receive files directly from a Thru flow
- File Dropoff – Allows a Thru flow to receive files from a MuleSoft flow
- Get File Metadata – Provides capability for a MuleSoft flow to retrieve metadata for files received from Thru
Associated Use Cases
Transfer Data Files
Transfer data files from partners and field offices for transformation and loading in enterprise applications. The process works as follows:
- File-based data is transferred to Thru via multi-protocol client and server connections
- Thru routes the data to MuleSoft flows through the Thru MFT Connector
- MuleSoft processes the data for integration with enterprise systems
Bi-directional Data Exchange
Enable bi-directional data exchange between manufacturers and their supplychain partners for critical business information:
- Regular flows of inventory levels, orders, product catalogs and shipments are exchanged between vendors and manufacturers
- Files are transferred between vendors and Thru using Thru Agent installed on vendor servers
- The Thru MFT Connector facilitates data exchange with MuleSoft via inbound or outbound flows
- MuleSoft routes data to relevant enterprise applications based on file metadata retrieved by Thru MFT Connector
- MuleSoft integrates data flow with manufacturer enterprise applications using API integrations
Broadcast/Multicast Data Files
Distribute data files efficiently to multiple business partners:
- MuleSoft retrieves data from enterprise applications using API integrations
- MuleSoft transforms the data and routes it to subscribed partners via Thru MFT Connector as files
- MuleSoft flows can either broadcast data to all partners or route data to a selected subset of partners
