Expose IBM i business logic as APIs with Database connector and Web Transaction Framework

This template shows how to present an IBM i based product price lookup function as an API that can be easily consumed by other components. Anypoint Platform and Web Transaction Framework help accelerate the implementation and promote reuse and separation of duties.

Mule implementation starts with an API definition RAML. API implementation communicates with Web Transaction Framework via DB2 stored procedure and pulls the results from the staging table using standard DB connector. Custom WebTF processor program is using native AS400 methods (database operations and program calls) to call business logic and save the response into a staging table on IBM i. RPG development team doesn’t have to deal with JSON or XML operations, HTTP etc.
