The Usage API is intended for Partners who are currently subscribed to RosettaNet 3C3, EDI 810, or EDI INVOICE's Summary Invoices. This API enables you to obtain XaaS usage data, which contains superset of attributes that are associated with your Summary Invoice. There are two methods you could use to retrieve XaaS usage data:
- By invoice number (usage API)
-Partners could request to obtain data by a single invoice number or range of invoice numbers

• By subscription ID (usageBySubscription API)-Partners could request to obtain data by a single Subscription ID or range of subscription ID

• By a range of invoice dates (both usage and usageBySubscription APIs)-Partners could request to obtain data by a range of invoice dates up to six months

###XaaS Usage API Process

Partner systems and Cisco systems can communicate via JSON requests and REST responses. The following are the process:
1. Summary Invoice will be sent to subscribed Partners (via e-mail, paper mail, or SFTP folders)
2. Partner registers for Usage API access
3. Partner sends request to Cisco (Usage API System)
4. Cisco validates request and sends a hyperlink to download the Usage File. If the request fail, a message with the error code will be sent
