FAQ - Payment
Where can I find the username required to get the balance information?
The username is provided in the "token_ID" provided in each token response.
How to know if a restaurant accepts Edenred solution as payment mean?
Partner must contact the local business unit to handle the merchant synchronization process (e.g.: in France, provide the restaurant list with the SIRET).
To what extend the capture mode refers to?
The processing of the payment can be managed in two modes:
• Automatic Capture: single messaging => payment is managed in 1 call
• or Manual Capture: dual messaging => payment is managed in 2 calls.
=> Funds are reserved on the first call (authorization) and really taken on the second call (capture).
=> The reservation of the funds means that the corresponding amount is saved for the given transaction. An auto expiration of the authorization is set to 3 slipping days.
=> The partner must initiate both calls.
Note: The manual capture is not supported in Brazil, Mexico, Turkey.
Are the transactions managed in cents?
Yes, the transaction must be sent in cents. 9€ corresponds to amount = 900 for instance.
Is the MID provided in UAT the same in Production?
No, MIDs are managed per environment. Please contact us to validate the information before the use of a MID (to check its validity).
Is the "refund" in real-time?
Yes, the refund is in real-time. Money is put back in real-time on the user account and corresponding payment is removed on the merchant side (same behavior for a cancel in dual messaging configuration).
What type of refund is managed?
We managed two types of refund: Partial and Total.
Notes: Not all the countries support partial refund so please refer to your use case.
How many caracters can be supported by extra_field?
There is not limit.
How many caracters can be supported by order_ref?
40 caracters.
