MyNet Product Pricing API

The E-Access Product Pricing API allows the Partner to download a copy of their Ethernet price book from PXC. The Price Book data is able to be matched with availability checking output to obtain the Partner’s buy price at a particular location for a particular product.

The price sheet is updated infrequently and the Partner should schedule a request to obtain the price book once a day and to cache the prices locally. The Partner must not build their request schema to obtain the price book on a transactional basis as excess requests may see access to the Ethernet Pricing API removed.

Only the price book components utilised by the Partner need be downloaded.

The Ethernet Pricing API allows the Partner to build a copy of the TalkTalk Business Price sheet from a range of requests. The relationship of the components can be represented as follows

Where:

• Access Products – represent the bearer type and size

• Service Products – represents the Bandwidth required and the service type (This is mandatory for some Access Products) Service types include E-Access, DIA and IPVPN

• BoltOns – These are optional components for some Access Products and some Service Products, and provide resilience or features. BoltOns may be priced at £0 due to promotions or downstream supplier changes, however will remain on the Price lists if they are an active optional feature.

**There are currently no Access BoltOns for EFM or EoFTTC

***Service Bandwidth Pricing for EFM and EoFTTC is currently rolled into the Access Price

Tariff Codes

It is possible for a Partner to be assigned more than one Tariff code, for example an alternate one off Tariff may be set for a predefined Project. In this scenario the Partner will need to download and retain more than one price book and ensure the right pricing is being applied to the appropriate site.

FAQs

Q. Why do my API requests receive Error code IPVPN0001 (unexpected error while processing the request)

A. Whilst the API has been built to support multi-parameter requests the increased size generated by the returned packages can cause a breach of the TalkTalk maximum payload threshold. Ensure that you are requesting one filtered pricing element in a package when making the XML request.

Q. Are the recurring values Monthly or annual?

A. All recurring values are Annual. (However billing will be monthly)

Q. Is VAT included in the figures?

A. No, VAT is not included in any figures returned by the API.

Q. I am not sure I have the pricing calculated correctly for my products, can you check?

A. If unsure please pass details of your query to your Account Manager with any calculations, they will validate if the end numbers are correct

Q. Do I need to apply any discounts to the prices returned to me?

A. No all prices are pre-discounted to reflect your tariff with TalkTalk Business.

Q. Will the non DIA and IPVPN BoltOns be included in the Service /BoltOn table above?

A. Yes when these products are available to order via MYNET Product Ordering API V5.

Q. I cannot find the Service bandwidth and Prices for EFM and EoFTTC.

A. These are rolled into the standard Tariff and are available from the GetProductPriceDetail – Access request type.

Q. Do the prices in the Price Book reflect temporary prices where promotion codes are used?

A. Unfortunately not, where a promo code is used the Partner must make any adjustments to the Price Book within their own systems.
