TMForum
Supplying broadband is about being timely and consistent, therefore by applying an API-first development approach we can help our Partners to automate journeys and keep customers informed at every stage of their journey. Delivering an overall better service and improving both Customer and Partner satisfaction
APIs play a foundational role in allowing our Partners to automate high volume tasks, minimise manual interactions, improve timeliness and accuracy. In order to do this, we have already developed and are continuing to develop new REST based APIs (our Fibre Product API suite) to improve the integration of our CRMs, databases, systems and connectivity of applications. This will allow us to achieve our goal of providing first class products and service wrappers to our Partners and end users.
The future design and development of our new REST based APIs are built to TM Forum standards, framework and specifications. In addition, we are using our strategic platform Mulesoft Exchange to securely engage and collaborate with our Partners, which will allow them access our suite of APIs and view API documentation and specifications as well as other functionality such as versioning and the ability to simulate data that will be sent to their APIs by using Mulesoft’s mocking service.

Standardising our APIs Through TM Forum
What is TMForum?
TM Forum have a group of 150 Communication Service Providers that have signed up to their Open API Manifesto, endorsing their commitment to creating a framework and standardising a suite of Open APIs.
Why PXC are using TMForum?
At PXC we’re standardising and developing APIs to TM Forum specifications and promoting its use between PXC and ISP Partners to unlock agility, efficiency and scalability.
Developing to TM Standards also simplifies change. This allows us to use the same standardised APIs to provide multiple functions and order many different products, as well as making it simpler, quicker and cheaper to develop and maintain code, applications and systems. Another advantage of developing to TM Forum standards is being able to remove, add, or upgrade one app without interfering with other apps.
