The table below describes terms commonly used throughout this documentation:

FREFault Related EventIn the context of Assurance, an FRE is a type of unplanned event that impacts multiple users. This may be caused, for example, by damage to Chorus network equipment.
JSONJava Script Object NotationAn open-standard file format that uses human-readable text to transmit data objects.
NGANext Generation AccessA Chorus fibre product.
RAMLRestful API Modelling LanguageThe language used to document API designs.
REMIReactive Maintenance for Inside PlantFaults raised by Spark or Nokia Operations Centres.
REMOReactive Maintenance for Outside PlantFaults raised by Retail Service Providers, Service Companies, or the public (network damage).
REMSReactive Maintenance for SecurityFaults raised by Chorus Security Operations Centre.
RSPRetail Service ProviderA business / organisation that is a reseller of Chorus products.
TaskA task is the parent entity in the Work Request structure. A task is controlled by the Work Requestor.
URIUniform Resource IdentifierREST-based Web services are organised into resources. A resource is a chunk of related information, such as a user profile, a collection of updates (activities), or a global user ID (GUID). Each resource is identified by one or more Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs).
Work RequestA work request is the complete package of information about a piece of work. A Work Request is made up of a task and one or many activities.
Work RequestorIn the context of the Work Request Manager a work requestor is a Chorus work requesting system.
Work SupplierIn the context of the Work Request Manager a work supplier is a Service Company.
